I had the opportunity take a quick trip to Yosemite National Park in October of 2004. Yosemite is a spectacular landscape in the Sierra Nevada that contains a myriad of unique of plants and animals living within multiple habitats and ecosystems. Yosemite has an elevation range from 2,000 to 13,123 feet and every part of the park has distinctive beauty. The most famous park of the park, Yosemite Valley, has beautiful streams and meadows surrounded by rich forest. Stunning granite mountains including El Capitan and Half-Dome enclose the valley with amazing waterfalls jutting forth gallons of snow-melt each spring.
